World War 3 will be the most destructive war in history, but not necessarily the end of the world.

Iran, China, North Korea, Russia, Myanmar (Burma), and the Islamic Jihad (Al Queda, Taliban, Hezbollah)
against
USA, Israel South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, Great Britain, and South Africa.
The European Union will not be largely involved.
Israel and South Africa will try to make this a holy war.
About 3 billion will die. (1/2 the worlds population)
