Where transcription of mrna take place?

In eukaryotic cells, transcription occurs in the cell nucleus. In prokaryotic cells, which do not have a nucleus, transcription occurs in the cytoplasm.

Does DNA replication take place in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells?

No, DNA replication takes place inside the nucleus during S phase of cell cycle.

Where does the Replication of DNA molecule happens?

It occurs in the nucleus during the S Phase.

Where in the cell do translation and transcription take place?

In eukaryotic cells, transcription occurs in the nucleus from which the transcript it transported to the cytoplasm where translation occurs. In prokaryotic cells, transcription and translation both take place in the cytoplasm.

Where does chromosome duplication during mitosis take place?

Inside the nucleus in eukaryotic cells. In the cytoplasm in prokaryotic cells.

What are the eukaryotic cell function?

-Nucleus directs the cells activities -Cell respiration takes place in mitochondria -Ribosomes manufacture proteins and take place in replication, transcription, and translation.

What is the main characteristic that distinguishes prokaryotes and eukaryotes?

Prokaryotic cells have genetic material that is not contained in a nucleus; Eukaryotic cells contain a nucleus in which their genetic material is separated from the rest of the cell. Also, keep in mind that eukaryotic cells are known to have a nucleus while prokaryotic cells do not.

Does intron removal take place in the nucleus?

Yes, intron removal takes place in the nucleus. In eukaryotic cells, the process of RNA splicing, which involves the removal of introns from pre-mRNA, occurs in the nucleus before the transcript is transported to the cytoplasm for translation.

Active DNA transcription in eukaryotes occurs?

Transcription takes place in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells.

What holds the cells DNA?

Nucleus - holds genomic DNA in eukaryotes. The nucleus is the most conspicuous organelle found in a eukaryotic cell. It houses the cell's chromosomes and is the place where almost all DNA replication and RNA synthesis occur.

Where does RNA and protein synthesis take place in prokaryotes and eukaryotes?

In prokaryotes, RNA synthesis and protein synthesis takes place in the cytoplasm. In eukaryotes, RNA is produced in the cells nucleus and then moves to the cytoplasm to play a role in the production of protein.

What cells does respiration take place in?

Cellular respiration takes place in all living cells , both prokaryotic cells and in eukaryotic cells.
