Autistic people do not think like animals. It is offensive to suggest that Autistic people (not 'people with autism') think like animals, we think like people because we are people.

I am high functioning Autistic and I believe there are "Autistic types", kind of like categories of personality and compatibility. I could date another Autistic person if they were like me and would love to marry one but could never marry a typical person(can't stand living with them, no offence) I think how many Autistic people its easier to marry or date another autistic person and most Autistic on autistic relationships I know are far happier and longer than Autistic on NeuroTypical relationships. Yes, autistic people can live as long as neurotypical people or people with other neurologies. There is nothing about autism that would shorten a persons lifespan.

No, in fact ABA is considered to be abusive towards Autistic people.At it's best it is a form of training used to attempt to force an Autistic person to act like they are neurotypical - at it's core it assumes neurotypical is normal and that Autistic people are inferior, as such it is ableist and can teach low self-esteem in Autistic people, it also puts the burden on Autistic people to add to their strain by attempting to pass as neurotypical (rather than encouraging Autistic people to be themselves and encourage wider society to accept Autistic people). At it's worst ABA is abusive, involving abuse via punishment and denying Autistic people the things they need to maintain mental and neurological help e.g. preventing stimming or down time to cope with over stimulation, or punishing an Autistic person for suffering a meltdown which is beyond their control.

In short, very differently. In England we have the Autism Act which ensures all Autistic people have a pathway to diagnosis, although there's limited support for Autistic people government staff are supposed to be trained to understand Autistic people, Autistic people don't face healthcare discrimination like in the US where they may be expected to pay more for health insurance, and there are anti-discrimination laws in place. In England we tend to me a lot more accepting of Autistic people. In America there is a lot of scare tactics being used by people like Autism Speaks to make money out of families with Autistic children - Autistic parents are expected to spend thousands and allow their children to be tortured to make them 'normal'. Autistic people can face a lot more discrimination both in terms of employment and healthcare, and generally within society people consider Autistic people to be less than neurotypical people and there are stereotypes about Autistic people being mass shooters or otherwise violent. Often Autistic children are murdered by their parents and there is such a problem of ableism around Autism that people support the murders. I'm Autistic and live in the UK, but I will be moving to the US to live with my Autistic husband - the difference in attitudes between the two countries is as different as chalk and cheese.
