Both can easily wipe each other out. The laser, plasma or especially energy weapons could easily destroy the thing. All the aliens have to do to stop the blob is freeze it. But, it all depend on who finds each other first. but, since alien greys would'nt all the sudden know how to defeat these 2, they would most likely die both the blob and thing could destroy all of the advanced alien greys. the grays acording to you, dont have freeze rays. and the aliens might be replicas of the thing by the time they find it and then infect the remaining advanced ones.so ultimately, parasitic would win everytime.
