In kingdom hearts 2 does roxas die?

Roxas is the nobody of Sora, meaning that literally he never exists. It is speculated that once he left Organization 13 he felt like a human being. Although he deafeated Riku when he was part of the Organization Sora defeated him in the second game. So technically if you want to be literal he could never die, but in the series he died by the hands of Sora.
