In legend of zelda phantom hourglass i cant defeat Bellum because the game wont let me draw the figure eight to stop time Im just wondering is there something else I have to do before I go against him?

If you haven't found the phantom sword you need to find it. It is mandatory you find it to beat it. If you already have the phantom sword I'm not sure what else you must do. I can't remember where the phantom sword is but look it up on YouTube "Where is the phantom sword?" you'll find an answer.
