The origin of the Rosary is obscure. It is not mentioned in tne Bible- and is rarely found on Medieval monuments such as tombs of Kings, Queens, and ecclesiatics- one finds statues of Bishops with their Mitre, full vestments and the Crozier- or Hook.- but not Rosaries. Exactly how the practice evolved is not known. The Lord"s Prayer and PART of the Hail Mary are in The Bible, as is probably the Doxology- Glory Be, to the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost! As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall Be- World Without End- Amen. How timely in this age of false prophets.

Yes, nuns in the Middle Ages did have rosaries. The rosary originated in the 13th century and became a popular Catholic devotion during the Middle Ages. Nuns, like other religious individuals, would use the rosary as a tool for prayer and meditation.
