no im affraid you cannot cancel the ten second cout down for the tactical nuke... hence why it is better not to call it straight away and see how large you can get your killstreak before calling it as the nuke will end the game. hope this helps :)

A few tips to get a nuke is to use a harrier airstrike, then use an AC-130 or Chopper gunner, then finish off with the NUKE! Harrier = 7 kills AC-130/Chopper Gunner = 11 Kills Tactical Nuke = 25 Kills... The Tactical nuke is unstoppable, even if your enemy calls in an EMP during the nuke, it won't affect it. But if they activate the EMP before you call in the nuke, then you must wait until the EMP is finally out of affect.

Is a Tactical Nuke a 25 killstreak on MW2?
Yes. If you wanted to get the tactical nuke, i'd suggest that you choose the following killstreaks: Emergency airdrop- this will give you four random airdrops. I like these because you never know what you will get when the drop comes. You will likely get AT LEAST 4 or more kills depending on what you get. This killstreak requires 8 kills. AC130- this killstreak will give you a hover jet that lets you shoot missiles at your desired spots. I like this killstreak too because unlike the chopper gunner, the missiles have a wider range of impact and is MUCH easier to control. This killstreak requires 11 kills. Tactical nuke- The tactical nuke will let you end the entire game and win with the click of a button. This killstreak requires 25 kills, which could easily be reached with the killstreaks as listed above. If i were to add one more thing, i would suggest that you use the perk called Hardline Pro. This perk lets you reach you killstreak requiring 1 less kill. therefore, you would need 7 kills for the emergency airdrop, 10 kills for the AC130, and 24 kills for the Tactical Nuke.
