How do you jump higher on Poptropica?

Except on the lower-gravity moons and asteroids of Astro Knights island, there is no way to make a bigger jump on Poptropica. In many places, this is used to prevent access to parts of the game requiring special items. Examples : the glider wings on Time Tangled Island, the jetpack on Early Poptropica, the Grappling Bowtie of Spy Island, and Super Flying Power on Super power Island - they allow you to move farther than simple jumping allows. On Shark Tooth and Nabooti Island, movable rocks and stones can allow you to reach higher places, as does the "horseless carriage" automobile on Time Tangled island.

Aim the mouse to either side of the character to move or run, and upwards to jump. The angle at which you point will determine the height and length of the jump. (see the related question)
You control the motion of your player with the mouse. Point the mouse sideways to move, and at a vertical angle upwards to jump.

The height you can jump is a limiting factor on the Poptropica islands, so there are few exceptions to how high that is :

• You can fly with the jetpack on Early Poptropica, or super-powered on Super Power Island.
• You can climb high with the Grappling Bowtie on Spy Island.
• You can jump much higher than usual at the end of Astro Knights Island because you are on an asteroid in low gravity.
