Oak longbows can fire up to Mithril
By snerderwerder (nickname)
you can't get free oak planks on runescape now stop being a noob and make them yourself. -.-
An oak longbow has a further range distance and a higher ranged bonus allowing for higher hits and more safespots, an oak shortbow hits faster allowing for much faster training. Shortbows are usually recommended due to their faster speed and only having slightly less power than a longbow, except in some circumstances where longer range is needed for safe-spotting than a longbow is recommended.
There are 3-5 oak trees in rimmington
Cut oak logs
You don't buy oak trees. You can buy oak logs, or oak planks. You can also buy oak seeds, which in this case are called "acorns". Prices in RuneScape change all the time, since they are mainly driven by supply and demand. You can find updated prices here: at the top of the main RuneScape page, there is a kind of menu; select "Community", then "Grand Exchange".
For cutting it off a tree: 37.5 Woodcutting XP For making a fire with a tinderbox: 60 Firemaking XP For making it into a shortbow: 16.5 Fletching XP For making it into a longbow: 25 Fletching XP
You can buy bagged oak trees from the Garden Supplier in Falador park.

There is no magic planks in runescape. Only plank, oak plank, teak plank and mahogany plank.
Some good places to cut oak trees in RuneScape for free to play players include the two locations East Draynor Village and South-West of Varrock West Bank. For pay to play players, a good spot to chop down oak trees is the Tree Gnome Stronghold. Oak tree chopping is not a good way to get money in RuneScape however, but is good for training Woodcutting levels.
