It can be the Escape, Mother, or Eileen's Death. It's probably not the 21 Sacraments since that would result with the evil god of the town being born, and Homecoming and Downpour take place after Silent Hill 4, so it didn't destroy the world.
Addendum 01:
21 Sacraments could be a possible ending, because while The Order is a major factor in what perverts the world of Silent Hill, they are not the origins of its power. The beings, Valtiel and the Red Pyramid and other monsters from the Order mythos are nothing more than what Maria was to James. They are manifestations built from the subconscious psyche of those interacting with the town. With that in mind, the manifestation summoned by Walter would not be the Order's God, try as Dahlia might to make it so, but instead simply whatever Walter imagined his 'mother' would be. Yes, Dahlia planned to make him carry out this ritual which she believed would summon god, but she did not understand that the monsters of Silent Hill were merely manifestations and not actual spiritual beings.
Essentially, all four endings could be cannon.
A canon ending is the genuine or the true ending. It is the ending that actually happened.
no dumb@ss
Silent Hill is not a "true" place, nor is the story considered "True". The town of Silent Hill was vaguely based off of Centralia, PA. The metaphorical nature, like in most story games, however, is up to perspective if it is "true" or not.
Silent Hill is based on a video game series, released in the late 1990's and no the games aren't based on a true story, however the town itself is inspired by a town, which overnight was evacuated after an oil fire ignited in its mines, it's never died as of this die, and the town is supposedly still shrouded by ash!
a girl tries to find her bro in a haunted mansion. very similiar to the silent hill series or the clocktower3.
"A literary canon is always changing. New excellent works of literature are being added all the time" is a statement that is not true about a literary canon.
There is no 'true' ending. That is the point
That is was composed by Johann Pachelbel and is called the Canon in D.
It is always changing
Yes, true. 'Listen' and 'Silent' contain the same letters.
yes the game is baced on a true town that had a massive coal mine fire that is just burning out today and the was a cult but the thing with alssa from the games is not true. although the people who suvived the fires belive the town is haunted.
Yes One Tree Hill is based on a true story. :)
