None and All! I know that doesn't make any sense yet, but IN MY OPINION it will. (I capitalize, because this is my belief and opinion, others might disagree) To answer this question you have to ask yourself what does the word christian mean? Defined, it is a believer in Jesus Christ as Savior. In order for Jesus Christ to have become our Savior, He had to die on the cross for our sins. So, in essence, Christianity was born upon His death. Now if that is true, then anyone who believed that fact at that time, when it happened was a Christian. Meaning that all of the disciples who believed that at that point in time became a founder of the Christian faith, but it also included all those who were not of the original 12. It included anyone who believe that He died for their sins and believed in His teachings. Following me so far...? Now as to who "introduced" the Christian faith, I would have to say that the honor belongs to Jesus Christ Himself and no other. Jesus taught the disciples making Him a teacher (someone who is educated and teaches others) and the disciples the students (someone who learns from one who teaches). So if Jesus was the teacher, He is the one who introduced Christianity meaning that none of the disciples did. The disciples merely followed in His footsteps, but He led the way.
Faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit The Bible tells us in Galatians 5:22 so no disciple introduced faith. The apostle John preached / wrote the most strongly about belief and faith. Jesus showed us a walk of Faith. Habakkuk in chapter 2 verse 4 first said the just shall live by faith.
Their basic mission was to spread the Christian gospel.
