In the Bible who is known as the sword of God?

The Bible discusses the Armor of God. It discusses a sword and a shield among other things in saying how the bible is like armor and as followers of Christ we can use the bible as protection when we go out into "battle" against evil in the world.

Jesus Christ is the "WORD" of God [see John 1].

The "WORD " of God is called God's "SWORD." [see Heb.4:12: "For the WORD OF GOD is Quick, and Powerful, and sharper than any twoedged SWORD, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts of the intents of the heart."]

"...take the Helmet of Salvation, and the SWORD of the Spirit, WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD..." (Eph.6:17).

From Jesus' mouth comes the WORDS OF GOD, His Father!

"For I have not spoken of Myself; but THE FATHER WHICH SENT ME, HE GAVE ME A COMMANDMENT, WHAT I SHOULD SAY, AND WHAT I SHOULD SPEAK... even as THE FATHER SAID UNTO ME, SO I SPEAK." (John 12:49-50)

"...out of His mouth goeth A SHARP SWORD, that WITH IT He should SMITE THE NATIONS: and He shall RULE THEM [with those Words of the Bible, which is God's Sword] with a Rod of Iron..." (Rev.19:14-15)

God's WORD [His SWORD] is both an "offensive" as well as a "defensive" WEAPON... because God also calls His WORD "TRUTH."

"...thy Word IS TRUTH." (John 17:17)

"Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with TRUTH[God's Word as defense]... and the SWORD of the Spirit [as offense], which is the WORD OF GOD."
