He was torn between what he was expected to do (turn Jim in to the authorities, or give the Widow Douglas information about his whereabouts and plans), and what he knew was right, despite the law (Jim should have his freedom). Huck concluded that if aiding and abetting a fugitive who'd been so good to him meant eternity in Hell, he'd rather have that than "knowing he'd done the right thing", under the law. Not an easy decision for an adult to make... much less a teenage boy.
Huck felt he had done wrong because he knew he was helping Jim, a runaway slave, which went against societal norms and laws at the time. Huck struggled with his conscience and the beliefs instilled in him by society.
because he caused it, when he played a prank on Jim with a dead snake.
Huck Finn feels guilty because he is not turning in Jim (Miss Watson's runaway slave.)
He had not turned Jim over to the two men looking for runaway slaves.
Usually people that feel guilty have done something wrong. If you have done something wrong the best thing to do would be to tell someone.
You may feel guilty or remorseful when you have done something wrong. It's natural to experience these emotions as a way of acknowledging your mistake and hopefully learning from it.
It is when you do something wrong to someone or something and you feel guilty you shouldn't have done that and you feel sorry for them.
Huck takes the money because he believes it rightfully belongs to the girls who were swindled by the Duke and King. He feels guilty for their actions and wants to right the wrong done to the girls.
You don't, or you say " Sorry, but why am I apologising?"
Only when shes done something wrong, like everybody else.
because might not feel he has done something wrong. Posted by a Male.
Huck feels trembly and feverish at the thought of Jim's freedom because he has been taught all his life that helping a runaway slave like Jim is sinful and wrong, so he is conflicted about going against this belief. Additionally, Huck has developed a strong bond with Jim during their journey, and the idea of losing his companion makes him anxious and unsettled.
I believe that if u feel like something you have done is wrong or feel guilty then you have done something morally wrong. Everyone that has a conscious will know what is right or wrong for them personally. Everyone has different morals too. Like I believe that "do into others as they do to you" is exactly that. If they are honest and trustworthy then I will be the same but if they are jerks then I will be that as well. So you know if your morality is bad or not.

You now what is right because you have been shown what is right and what is wrong, also you have a gut feeling like when you have done something wrong you feel guilty and when you do something right you feel good about yourself. The law plays a big part in what you think is wrong and right as if you do something wrong then you are punished.
