The Sherman Brothers wrote a song called 'Through The Eyes Of Love' that was originally going to be put in the film. However, this was dropped as it was unliked by Julie Andrews and the author of the original Mary Poppins book, P.L. Travers. Mrs Travers said that there was to be not even the slightest hint of romance between Mary Poppins and Bert.
No they were not married the hints in the songs proberly refer to the fact that Bert knew Mary or had met her before

While one scenery character ( Admiral Boom) is obviously a Naval man, as I recall there were no maritime touches- boats, ships, other water-craft in Mary Poppins. there was a sort of live-action Merry-go-Round, and given the setting, some horse-drawn vehicles. No ships that I recall, I was always keen on watercraft and would have noticed any. no Waves so to speak for Ms. Poppins!
You need to recall them

The Penguin, played by the late Burgess Meredith, was a somewhat comic villain in the Tv version of (Batman). I do not recall any Penguins ( code name of characters or the flightless birds) in Movie version of Mary Poppins. There is a parrot. Parrots and Penguins are vastly different types of birds, brush, or feather-up your ornithology.
A recall qusetion is using purely facts and not going into great depth. Thats is the definition An example would be... Who is the main character of this novel? or Where is it located? or When does this take place?
i recall the name idgie in the movie but i dont recall ninny as her first name No, wasn't. Ninny did tell Evelyn that she's married to her (Idgie's) brother, Cleo. If Ninny and Idgie are the same person, then she married her own brother...
