The Giver is a nice book, except for some parts are disturbing for me. I did a book report on it, and even though it had some controversy over whether or not it was worshiping communism, it still won the gold Newberry Medal.
REALLY GOOD BOOK! kinda confusing but if you read over the part you don't understand then you will get to understand it. make sure to take note that the author Lois lowry uses euphemism (using words that have an alter meaning to make them sound nicer or more appealing) so think outside of the box when you see a word that you don't understand
