They are relatives, and also leaders of their respective groups of their people.
Which time? By the trolls? That would be Balin. By the spiders? We don't know from the story. By the elves? That would be Thorin.
There is very little mention of female dwarves in any of his works. A few places in The Hobbit: Thorin lies to the Goblins and mentions going to visit relatives, including nieces. Fili and Kili were the son's of Thorin's sister, Dis.
It's actually pronounced *Dain* and I don't know why Lyra called Dawn *Dain.* Maybe she's confused?
I'm not sure what you mean. Thorin's grandfather never gave Gandalf a mountain. As far as I know, Thorin's grandfather (Thror) died in Moria without ever meeting Gandalf. Gandalf did meet Thrain, Thorin's father, in the dungeons of the Necromancer and Thrain did give Gandalf a MAP of a mountain. And if your question is what is on the mountain on the map that Thrain, not Thror, gave Gandalf, in my edition of the Hobbit, it's a small picture of a dragon. Some of the spurs of the mountain also look like they're on top of it, but it's just a bird's eye perspective.
they followed a secret tunnel
There is no character called "blbo" in the Hobbit and we do not know what you mean by "frequentoy".
15-The thrush that Bilbo saw outside the secret door to the Lonely Mountain is spotted by roac son of Carc. He tells Bilbo and the dwarves that Smaug is dead and that they should not trust the Master of Lake-town, but Bard. Thorin, assuming his ancestral role as King under the Mountain, sends the thrush for Dain in the Iron Hills. Thorin wants to go back to the Mountain. The dwarves work to fortify the mountain against the Elvenking; as they work, the ravens bring them news. The elves pitch camp and make merry; the dwarves then make merry, as well. Bard approaches to parley with Thorin. He refuses as long as Bard's men ally with elves. Bard's men leave and then his banner-bearers return with a demand for part of the hoard if they come to the aid of the dwarves. Thorin refuses and tells them to consider themselves under siege
it was stolen by the dragon smaug( i dont know if i spelled it right) because they liked to steal gold and now thorin wants it back
There are hundreds of goblins in The Hobbit. You probably want to know the names of the 3 trolls. They were William, Bert and Tom.
The reason why Thorin didn't want the elvenking to know about their quest is because the wood-land elves are selfish and love gold, the dwarves are trying to get their gold back, but if the elves find out, they will want to help them, but get some of their treasure!
I don't know all of them but I know lord of the rings, the hobbit, and the simerilion
