In the final battle, he arrves just in time to kill Mixmaster and Scorponok. But he is mortally wounded by Scorponok's attack. After Optimus Prime is brought back to life, he gives up his life and rips out his spark so that Optimus can use his parts to defeat the Fallen. RIP.

I believe Conrad sent the white haired man to sabotage the plane during take off. As you saw after Victoria boarded the plane, the white haired man was under the plane messing with something. Conrad didn't want Victoria giving the evidence of the 'terrorist act' that David Clark was blamed for to the court because it could place him behind bars.
