they are in vertebrates
You cannot have two brains..
living things need food, water, and air. non-living things need none of those things.
The metals in the living things usually are combined with other elements in chemical compounds.
1. All living things are made of cells; no real example2. All living things reproduce; cells reproduce by mitosis3. All living things have a lifespan; Organisms must die at some point like days after their birth, or hundreds of years (years)4. All living things respond to stimuli; Ex. Your senses, phototropism5. All living things grow and develop; Trees grow from small seeds to huge organisms6. All living things are highly organized; Atoms make up molecules which make up cells which make up living things
Scavengers are animals that usually eat the "leftovers", like dead animals, trash, etc., they search for anything that could edible. Parasites are living things that rely on other living things for food, shelter, etc., and without a "host", they usually cannot survive. They suck off of others, usually by living inside of them, on them, or around them.

all living things have senses.
Many living things have the same senses. { feel,smel,taste,hear}
one difference is that living things breath and nonliving things don't another is that living things have blood vessels and brains
Their brains and nervous system. QUI DONNE UNE MERDE DE TOUTE FAÇON?
Scientists use their senses to see, smell, hear, taste and feel the world around them. They then make guesses about what might happen or about the way things work by using their brains to ask questions like "What is going to happen next?" or "Why is this happening?" or "What is this composed of?"
No, decomposers are living things, like fungi and bacteria. Soil usually contains living things, but it is mostly non-living.
Anything that: - Feeds - Moves - Respires - Reproduces - Senses - Grows - Excretes

It usually means then your sensor is setup to high meaning that it senses things way to easy.
Because they make up our entire bodies. Of course, in retrospect, it could almost be arguable that atoms, which make up every peice of matter, were the fundamental living unit, but it makes up things that arent living, so the smallest building block that makes up life are cells, making it so that cells are indeed the fundamental unit to all things living. Sure, living organisms cannot live without hearts or brains, but cells make up hearts and brains, so that is why cells are the fundamental living unit.
