Depending on where you live, you would grow cabbage in the months of February or March. They should be started about a month before the last frost. This is so they will mature before summer's heat. For fall, cabbage can be planted in August, September, and October. You should plant about two months before the first frost for fall plantings.
Cabbages usually grow in Spring but they can also survive in Autumn for a while.
A cabbage tree generally will grow from 60 to 70 feet tall.
Cabbage trees got their name long ago because they taste like cabbage.
Cabbages don't grow into trees. True, real "cabbages" don't grow on trees; but I am from south Florida, and you may just be referring to what we call "swamp cabbage," found at the "heart" of our sabal palm trees (some call it cabbage palm). It is quite edible, boiled like cabbage; and in fact there is an annual "Swamp Cabbage Festival" out in the Everglades; I'm sure you can find it online.
