electrons go fast too
The individual photons in radio waves have way too little energy to eject electrons out of ANYTHING.
It was not just DeBroglie that reached that conclusion, others contributed to that theory, like Einstein, Bohr, Heisenberg and Schrödinger. What DeBroglie did was to establish that matter in general has that duality, but it can only be observed in microscopic particles, like electrons, because they are so small and travelling so fast that the wave nature is apparent. His formula can be used for any object, but only at the microscopic level is where we can observe the wave properties of a particle.
Electrons are affected by gravity in the same way as any other object with mass. Gravity causes electrons to be pulled towards the center of the Earth, just like it does with all other objects. However, the effect of gravity on electrons is very small compared to other forces that act on them, such as electromagnetic forces.
The electron configuration and the number of valence electrons are the same.
Forces cause bonds to form.
Electromagnetic waves are waves of electricity and magnetism that are created when charged particles, like electrons or protons, accelerate. Since the sun is so hot, the electrons in the sun are moving around (and accelerating) like crazy, so they emit electromagnetic waves. We like to call most of the electromagnetic waves that reach earth "Light". Sound and water waves require something to travel through, like air or water, because they're mechanical waves (they need to move matter around to keep going). However, EM waves don't require any medium. This is because an EM wave has two components: a magnetic part and an electric part. It's complicated to explain, but to sum it up they work together in such a way so that they can rely on each other to travel through space. If you're really curious about how light works, pick up an introductory physics book, or check out the Wikipedia article on "Electromagnetic Radiation".
Clouds that resemble waves in the sky have a wavy and undulating appearance, similar to the way waves move in the ocean.
Be like me!
- the electron configuration is the same- the number of valence electrons is the same
You have to like curl it first then shake your hair a little bit then brush it and you have waves and it works with me.
Different types of waves exist due to the way they propagate energy through a medium or space. These waves can be classified based on their characteristics, such as mechanical or electromagnetic. Mechanical waves, like sound waves, require a medium to travel through, while electromagnetic waves, like light waves, can travel through a vacuum.
Yes, waves are a way in which energy is transferred from one place to another without the physical transfer of matter. This is seen in various types of waves, such as electromagnetic waves and mechanical waves like water and sound.
