The MetLife Blimp Program started in 1987.
MetLife
peanut butter jelly time
a Lighter-than-air craft ( Blimp) operated by the Metropolitan Life Company- a welcome change from (snoopy on classic cars) billboards. I have seen it, it is a basically white envelope (don"t say hull, but it is an airship).
Joe, look at that Good Year blimp!
Helium.
Most blimps are advertising devices for companies such as Goodyear, MetLife, or Fujifilm. You will see them overhead at games played in open-air sports stadiums, but usually only in good weather.
Though the blimp had been an idea for decades, in 7/1900 it carried passengers for the initial time.
MetLife was created in 1868.
MetLife's population is 66,000.
The Good Year Blimp
The company SafeGuard became part of the MetLife family because MetLife bought them out in February of 2008. More information about SafeGuard and MetLife can be found on MetLife's website.
Goodyear Blimp pilots start at about $70,000/year, and can go up to $200,000.
