The author of Gakuen Alice (Academy), Tachibana Higuchi, is still currently writing the Manga. There are 19 volumes out, 8 in English. It ended with Mikan going into the past, with Nodacchi's Alice, seeing Elementary principle, her mother, her father, Natsume's Mother, Narumi-sensei, and the Middle School Principle's Secret. She still has to choose her path; wither to follow her mother outside or to stay in the Academy with Natsume Hyuga, Hotaru Imai, Ruka Nogi, and the others - and if she does choose to stay in the Academy her life will be hard, because she was transferred into the Dangerous Ability Class and she is still "targeted" by the Elementary Principle, since she has another alice, the Stealing Alice. In the recent chapters that was released they had a telepathy Alice going on that enabled the two to hear each others thoughts. So as Mikan was about to leave they both said "i Love you" to each other..And later on ruka says he loves her too but supports natsume and mikan. So i think theyre gonna end up together(NatsumexMikan)
