Battle of Guadalcanal.
They needed to Modernize.
The Japanese soliders probably never thought so do to their incorrect version of Bushido, the Samurai code. However, I believe that if the Japanese citizens knew about things like the Baton Death March, they would know it was wrong.
whalers do! and it is a terrible thing. mostly Japanese people hunt whale for food. lets hope they realize it is terrible and stop
It was the first major land defeat of Japanese in pacific.Coming after midway battle it stopped japan expanding into south pacific. It showed up the terrible tactics too of the Japanese ,they were no supermen as fighters.
It made them realize they could not continue to fight against the Allies, and made them agree to surrender.
After taking control of China, the goal of Japanese military leaders was to free Asia from the Europeans. What many didn't realize was that this was not done as a humanitarian effort, but as a hasty effort to build their own empire.
Basically because Japan was too ignorant to realize that we, as the U.S., was a sleeping giant. Actually, they knew this. But what they did not know was the fact that we could recover and amplify our strength very quickly. Also, we knew some pretty awesome covert tactics, one of which laid down a cripple so bad, it permanently halted the Japanese offense in the Pacific.
Japan and Germany shared a mutual enemy in the United States and both were shunned by the League of Nations. They had either acted against its rulings or angered it with annexing other territories (Germany in Checkoslovakia and the Rhineland, Japan in Manchuria and several Pacific island chains). These combined factors led both parties to realize that they were in similar situations, thus leading to their alliance. It was fear of Bolshevism. The Germans and Japanese did their own separate 'thing', and there was no planned co-operation. The Germans hoped that Japan would attack the Soviet Union in the Far East, but for the Japanese leaders it was the jackpot or nothing.
I'm pretty sure they do. Some whales eat fish and plankton. Japan eats lots of food that is related to fish, or seafood. Whales will just become a rival to the Japanese. Why? The Japanese need to get the fish, to get money. They can't do that without exterminating the whales and other animals that eat fish near their area.
Realized is the past participle of realize.
It took me a while to realize that there was bug on the wall. When will you realize that fire is hot?
Certainly the Japanese Naval leaders believed they could cripple the US Naval fleet but they messed up when they failed to bomb the aircraft carriers in Pearl Harbor. They also did not realize the Americans had other ships elsewhere and could also rebuild or build new ships. The Japanese thought Americans were wusses and dopes. They did not understand their enemy.
