The Chinese created the first pasta. 4,000-year-old noodles, which appear to have been made from broomcorn millet and foxtail millet, were found at the Qijia culture Lajia site in Qinghai province China.

Pasta is originally from china and Italy but now its made in all countries including Australia
Popular legend has it that Marco Polo introduced pasta to Italy following his exploration of the Far East in the late 13th century; however, we can trace pasta back as far as the fourth century B.C., where an Etruscan tomb showed a group of natives making what appears to be pasta. The Chinese were making a noodle-like food as early as 3000 B.C. And Greek mythology suggests that the Greek God Vulcan invented a device that made strings of dough (the first spaghetti!).
Pasta and noodles of other types did not originate from Italy it came from China first. They have been making pasta there from at least 3000 b.c. However spaghetti in its current form (long thin noodles made from semolina flour) was first made in Italy.
