Well, I would personally recommend Windows Movie Maker which you can download for free online. You can keep the video as a project and also save it as a 'wmv' (or another video format) file. So, if you want to change anything in the future, you can edit the project and then save it as a wmv (or something else) file again. I love Windows Movie Maker - it's so simple and you can create so many different things with it. Note: If you want your video to play on a proper Media Player, then you must save it as a normal video format such as wmv, avi etc.
