Undo works for all Excel manual entries. There are a few exceptions:

  • When you save or exit your worksheet, all undo options are deleted.
  • Undo steps through changes in reverse order, so you need to step through all changes to get to an older change.
  • Sometimes you are not able to undo input from an external data source.
