In the rising action of a story, there may be little action as the setting, characters, and conflicts are established. This part of the plot typically involves building tension and introducing the main problem or challenge that the characters will face.
Rising Action is a related series of incidents in a literary plot that build toward the point of greatest interest.Falling Action is the part of a literary plot that occurs after the climax has been reached and the conflict has been resolved.

Every story, although to differing degrees, consists of the same elements. These are rising action, climax, and denoument. The release of suspense occurs immediately after the climax and is part of the denoument.

The resolution occurs later in a plot than the exposition, rising action, climax, and falling action. The resolution is where the main conflicts are resolved and loose ends are tied up, bringing the story to a close.
Complications are the new factors added to the plot that give the main character new problems to deal with.
