There were no orchards at this mission. The mission is located in a valley of oaks in central California and it is a dry area. Even today there are water problems at the mission. They did have herds, grapes, and other crops. I go to this mission all the time to sit in their garden with the mission cat. It is a small mission and feels like it isn't in the modern world. Today it is being worked on by the state to repair the roof and other parts.
Migrant or seasonal workers usually are found in the agricultural industry, picking crops as they become ripe and moving on to other farms and orchards as they are needed.
