Why would you ask that? If you're an atheist you don't believe in hell!
Answer As the original poster said, atheists don't believe that there is a hell, so to ask an atheist is meaningless. However, if you ask a theist, you'll get a different answer depending on which type of theist you ask. Fundamentalists will tell you that atheists go to hell. Catholics have even worked out which level! Other theists will tell you the opposite - that it depends on if you're a good and moral person, not what you believe. That's one of the reasons why religion looks so silly to atheists: even christians cannot agree among themselves what they believe in - and within Christianity, even catholics can't agree with other catholics. You can apply this to any sub-sect of any religion: they all disagree with the other sub-sects.
Puritan leaders believed in a strict interpretation of Christianity and saw other religions as threats to their beliefs and way of life. They believed in the importance of religious unity and conformity within their communities, leading them to be intolerant of other religions. This intolerance was also influenced by a desire to maintain control and authority over their followers.
That seems unlikely.
Insist what? New Atheists insist everything other Atheists insist. The Denial of the claim there is a God by Theistic religions.
All Christians or atheists
Atheism itself is the absence of belief in any deity or deities, rather than a religion. However, some belief systems, like some forms of Buddhism or certain branches of Unitarian Universalism, may be atheistic in nature.
No. Atheists in general have the same moral and ethical values as do Christians and members of other religions. If there is a difference, it is that atheists hold the values that they do hold because they believe in their intrinsic merit, rather than in the hope of reward or fear of hellfire. Apart from religious faith, atheists do not lack values attributed to followers of religions.
Several religions believe in the concepts of heaven and hell, including Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, and some forms of Hinduism and Buddhism. These concepts generally involve a belief in an afterlife where individuals are rewarded or punished based on their actions in life.
A:This is a question of faith, not fact. A Christian may believe either that the non-Christian will be judged on the life he or she led, going to heaven or hell as a result, or that non-Christians are destined for hell. Cardinal Pell, one of the Catholic Church's leading clergy is one whose stated view is that it is not necessary to be a Christian to go to heaven. The non-Christian will in both cases believe otherwise. Followers of other religions are reincarnated or receive whatever reward their religion prescribes, while atheists cease to exist when they die.
Calvinism
most atheists think Christianity is not good and its members are hypocrites
About 75% of Spain is Roman Catholic. About 20% say they are atheists or non-believers.
An athiest is a person who doesnt believe in god/gods. So no, they don't have a religion.
