actually, diabetics can conceive, it is really just a matter of whether the mother wants to put her child at risk. they are as follows for specific types of Diabetes

For type one diabetes: you child may have

breathing problems at birth
major birth defects
jaundice
high blood sugar levels at birth

For type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes (very common)

your child may experience shoulder injuries during vaginal delivery due to its large size
most probably have jaundice
high blood glucose level
will be at risk for type 2 and gestational diabetes later in life


either way, you will probably have to undergo a cesarean section because of cephalopelvic disproportion. good luck!
