Impossible to answer without knowing who made it, what it is (rifle, handgun, shotgun), condition, caliber/gauge, barrel length, etc..
In most cases, if you give me only a serial number, and no info on make, model, caliber, then no. A serial number is not unque, or it would be 20 numbers long.
Made in 1969. Info from Ithaca Gun Co. serial number check chart.
Manufactured in 1898
without more specifics on the gun (condition, gauge, barrel length, etc.) all i can really say is that serial number is for a gun manufactured in 1927
Sorry- not enough info to answer. A serial number is not unique to one gun, or it would be millions/trillions long.
The gun was made in 1977.Winchesters are marked with consecutive serial numberes, the first gun was #1, the tenth was #10 the hundredth was #100, the hundred thousandth was #100,000.There's no hidden info or codes in the serial number.
my similar gun of which I'm seeking info has a serial number on the top edge of the chamber which can be seen after the breach is opened. My number is 101655. Anyone have history?
Yes it is illegal to own a gun that does not have a serial number. It is also illegal to remove the serial number off a gun.
look for a copy of the Blue Book of Gun Values
You've got a post war gun. That's really all the info there is.
With just the serial number, nothing.
It would be almost impossible to identify a gun just by its serial number.
