Yes, certainly 22in rims will fit. I have 22in rims currently on my 1999 Jag VDP and they look astonishing. I get lots of compliments and I may be the only person in the nation with a 99 VDP on 22's. What is the right coolant for a 2004 Jaguar XJ8?
I have a 98 XJ8L & I used the coolant that you get from the dealer. However, I was told another mechanic that I trust that Dex-cool can be used too. It's the type that needs no water added and it's Orange in color. The thing about the coolant from Jaguar is that it's concentrated. You have to use mix with water in equal parts. So if you use 50% coolant, U have to add 50% water. So if you go to the deal and get it, be ready to spend $50 or more to get it. The Dex-cool is around $15 - $20.

You do not need a scan tool to replace any brake pads. The wear is obvious.

Looked online for replacing the pads and rotors on the car (Autozone). The most expensive pads are 59.99(for one set). 4 wheels = 239.96 Plus your going to need rotors which will run around 69.99, 4 wheels = 279.96. That is about a 2 hr job at the shop with labor running about $70 an hour which would give you your grand total around 660.00+tax and thats if they use top of the line pads and rotors
If the license plate and tail lights on a 1998 Jaguar XJ8l do not work but all bulbs fuses and relays are OK and sometimes the taillights work in the rain what is wrong?
Most comonly this problem is caused by the lighing connector on the tailight assembly . check the last pin on each connector and you may find the ground wire pin burned and needs repair, also the connectors are known for developing poor contact. which you can repair by carefully melting solder on the male pins.RainSounds like water from the rain is completing the circuit. It's most likely the earth/ground that is missing (as the rain is completing the CCT - rather than creating sparks)If you have tools etc you could try to locate or test with a wire patching in a new earth to the bulb. Or measure the voltage on the bulb connections. Test resistance from the earth connection to the chassis.Failing that you can just take the hose to the car and find where the hose turns the lights on and have a deep look there.
