This requires the removal of upper and lower covers- 3 phillips screws- on steering colum- tilt the wheel down to remove upper plastic cover. Have key in ignition, look for small pin underside of steering colum, when you find pin push said pin in useing small tool that will push pin all the way in. Move key switch to align pin, (ie) turn key switch, and then the switch will just come out. Slide new one back in, nothing to it. Hard part will be to get plastic covers back in place and screws (3 phillips) to re thread. If you are also changeing ignition switch because of the large amount of play in switch then you must lower steering colum, to access 2 screws to which you won't have the tool to unscrew because it looks like a phillips screw. So if you have access to a cutting wheel make these screws into slotted screws, cut a line in center of screw and remove. You also have to remove plastic cover below colum. You do not have to remove colum all the way just enough to access the two screw, there are 4 nuts holding colum in place, may look hard but this project is simple to others you wil be doing in the future on your 1990 super coupe.
