The window cranks are these pot-metal castings with plastic covers. If you peel the plastic cover back, you'll see the screwhole.
Remove the inside door panel of your 1997 Chevy Lumina. Remove the linkage to the window crank. Remove the window crank retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new window crank.

there is a u shape clip on the inside of the handle that u have to pull out, make some space between the door panel n the window crank. there are window tools u can buy or use a thin rod n shape the end into a L shape pattern slip between the door panel n window crank n pull the pin out.
In almost all makes of car you have to replace the window regulator. That's the entire mechanism that holds the window and raises and lowers it.
You can remove the window crank handle by just using a simple shop rag. How you do this you slide the rag(unfolded) between the door panel and window crank and rotate around the window crank until you snag the clip that is retain the window crank. The clip is a simple wire clip shaped like a "C" To reinstall you place the clip back in the groove on window crank and press back on the window regualtor shaft
Pull out the U-clip located on the base of the window crank.
You have to have a window crank remover, this tool looks like a U on a stick, and you slide this tool in between the the crank and the door panel and trip the lock pin, then the crank will pull off.
