MSN messsenger is completely free and so is AIM and Yahoo Instant Messenger as well.
Instant messengers are a great benefit for many reasons. They can be time savers. Before getting into a long conversation a message can be delivered, getting right to the point and not engaging in idle chit chat! Also, messages can be conveyed when a phone call would be an interruption, but a message would not.
The most used web messengers capable of sending instant messages are the classics AOL and ICQ. Nowadays it is commonly accepted that the Facebook messenger is the most widely used.
