Intentionally skip period taking Yaz

I asked the same thing about 2 years ago. I have 2 kids and wanted to make sure I not only didn't get pregnant(aka started taking the pill) I wanted no more periods. So, my gynecologist put me on Seasonale, which is a 3 month pill pack that you take uninterupted; completely safe for you. It was too expensive so after just one 3 month pack of those pills she put me on a generic pill and said to refill it every 3 weeks to ensure I took it continually without taking the last week of "tracker" pills that don't have hormones.

How old are you and do you want children or do you have children? I am 29 and have 2 kids. I decided pills were too easy to forget to take and the expense was too much each month. So, I looked in to getting an IUD(internal uterine device) that is sort of "implanted" to block sperm from entering you and fertilizing any eggs.

Here's the AWESOME thing: I had it put in June 15, 2007 and have YET to have a period. The percentage of women who stop having periods is over 85% and it's good for up to 5 years without having to be replaced or worrying about effectiveness. Another great thing is that it can be removed at any point and your fertility levels are restored after just one monthly cycle. I did this to avoid having my tubes tied and my husband getting "fixed". I LOVE it!!! Plus, there are no risks or side effects like the pills; the pills have risks for smokers, women over 35, you're at risk for blood clots, etc. It's even made out of synthetic materials that are non-allergan containing; meaning your body can't be allergic to the material. I have "Mirena" and LOVE IT!!!!
