Argon's ability to chemically interact with other materials is extreamly weak. So their are no NATURAL reactions. You can force argon to react it requires a lot of electricity and is dangerous.

What type of chemical is argon?

Argon (Ar) is a chemical element. It is one of the noble gasses which are known to undergo very few chemical reactions. At room temperatures Argon is colorless, odorless non-toxic gas.

What does the chemical Ar stand for?

Ar is the chemical symbol for argon.

Why argon used in welding?

Argon is an inert gas. At the high temperatures which are reached during welding the metals involved can get highly reactive. An inert environment prevents chemical reactions.

Why is chlorine very reactive and argon isn't?

Chlorine does not have a full set of valence electrons (it has 7) while argon does (it has 8). Chlorine will participate in chemical reactions that provide it with this eighth electron.

Why is argon used as a gas in welding?

Argon is an inert gas. At the high temperatures which are reached during welding the metals involved can get highly reactive. An inert environment prevents chemical reactions.

What are some interesting chemical reactions?

There are a lot of different interesting chemical reactions just depends on which compound and mixture you would like.If you want ones that you can do easily, then sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and vinegar yield sodium acetate, CO2 and H2O

What is the chemical equation for argon?

There is no chemical equation for argon. A chemical equation describes a process, not an element or compound. Argon does have a chemical symbol, which is Ar.

What are helium neon argon and krypton?

They are Noble Gases aka Inert Gases. They don't undergo chemical reactions very easily.

Chemical formula for argon?

hi the chemical formula of argon is ag

Why argon is used in welding?

Argon is an inert gas. At the high temperatures which are reached during welding the metals involved can get highly reactive. An inert environment prevents chemical reactions.

Formula of compound argon?

Not formula but the chemical symbol for argon: Ar. Also argon is not a compound but a chemical element.

What original name of argon?

The name "argon" is derived from the Greek word αργον meaning "lazy" or "the inactive one", a reference to the fact that the element undergoes almost no chemical reactions.
