Presuming that references to Satan / Santa would predispose a band to a Satanic / Santaic category..... then NO. There is no such correlation. Mind you, they could be a sneaky bunch and just try to subvert their listenership with Satanic / Santaic viewpoints. That is, without bringing the "S" word into question. But then again, that would infer negative social and behavioral viewpoints. So once again, the answer is NO. But then what are they? Well..... there are a lot of historical references..... positive self affirmations..... social consciousness..... questions regarding the unknown..... as well as observations of various world religions..... all found in their music. Within that framework, I would have to say that Anubis Spire is a Spiritual band. Anubis Spire, a band that I am very familiar with, is NOT a Satanic band, and does not promote or even, for that matter, explore Satanic themes in their music. The band does promote people to think, involves them in spiritual journeys, but not toward some Satanic epiphany. Bottom Line: they expect the listener to have enough sense to make up their own mind about such matters.
