Usually for the latest games you need at least 2-3 GB of ram to run it smoothly. It also depends on the graphics card, as having a decent one will greatly improve your gaming experience. So, 1 GB of ram is not very good for most games. You could also look on the back of case of the game to see the system requirements, It will usually say what the game runs best on. If it says that it needs at least 1GB of ram you should be good to go, but if it is any higher you should consider buying another Ram stick and installing it into your computer if you can, or just playing a different game
Generally speaking, yes. However, many factors determine how well a graphics card will perform. For example, the CPU and RAM can handle some of the GPU's work, therefore, they will affect the performance of the GPU. It also depends on how many pipelines a GPU has. For games, with 1GB GPU memory, I suggest getting a 2.2GHz Quad-Core/3.2GHzDual-Core/5.5GHz Single-core CPU, 4GB of RAM.
Ideally, a high-resolution graphic card and enough RAM to run everything smoothly (about 1GB).
8GB of RAM is extremely enough for playing current heavy games. For mobile gaming notebook, 555m graphics is better than 540m in every aspects. It is because 555m have a higher memory clock rate and it is a class 1 graphic card compared to 540m, class 2 graphic card. Gentle reminder: Gamers, Don't look for graphic memory (GB) of the graphic card when buy notebook. However, please look for the memory clock rate/speed (Mhz) of the graphic card before buy the notebook. Class 1 - Extreme gaming and multimedia Class 2 - Lite gaming and multimedia

yes it,s very good for gaming
The best 1gb graphic card for your computer depends not merely on the motherboard of Intel DG43NB but also other factors. The brand does not really matter as long as compatible with your computer.
Alienware is currently the best gaming computer but it is very costly. I donno about your country but in India, a computer (specs-2gbRAM, 500gbHDD, Intel i3-2nd gen 3.1GHz procesor with 1gb nvidia graphic card) costs Rs 32000 which is really cheap and excellent for gaming!
Hi, It really depends on what your using your Graphics Card (GPU). As most people say gaming I'll go with that. 4gb of RAM memory is usually enough as the bottleneck in a system is most commonly in the processor or graphics card. A good value GPU for gaming would be an ATI Radeon HD5770 which retails at about £100GBP. -Buxty
no not really you need like a 3 or 4 if u like gaming -Improve- In regards to the above answer i think they were referring to graphics memory not RAM. A 1 GB graphics card is awesome for gaming, but 4 gigs of ram wouldn't hurt either.
RAM from graphic cards does not contribute to overall RAM on a computer. A graphic card that has RAM will only use that RAM for the use of the graphic card itself and no other parts of the computer. This means that the RAM that is on the graphic card is only used to store images that are being sent to the graphic card itself. The RAM on the graphic card allows the card to handle much more graphic intensive scenes, and puts a lot less stress on the graphic card, because instead of the graphic card having to process every bit of information for the scene that is sent to it. ( lets say your graphic card as 1GB of RAM on it ) The graphic card can store at least 1 GB of RAM in its memory to process later, allowing the card to finish processing the information that it was processing before the new information came in. Hope this helps.
It really depends on the game.
nvidia 512mb is much sufficiant to play all games going for 1gb does not make much difference
