No, i take Ativan .5 and can not feel much of a difference after a few weeks. it does take the edge off fo anxiety some what , but ive taken Valium v cuts and roche 10 for the fun of it when i was younger. There not it the same league. in my case ativan isn't enough for me reason im on here looking for something stronger but for anxiety you cant beat 2mg zanax or even lower dose of the blues. im sure it has to do with tolerance but hope you found this helpfull.
are you freakin serious? read your own question you dumsh1T
I would consider the Xanax much stronger.
the question makes very little sense- there are obviously 5mg in 5mg. so no amount of 5mg will ever equal 1mg because they are the same units. you would need 1mg for 1mg or 1/5(one-fifth ie. 1) of 5mg
Ativan contains Lorazepam. It is a sedative and anxiolytic.
two .5mg pills = 1mg
Ativan can be stronger than Xanax. However, it depends on the milligram dosage. Both Ativan and Xanax are anti-anxiety prescription medications.
I have taken 5 glasses of wine and 1mg Ativan before going to sleep...I slept like a baby! The problem is if you increase the Ativan dose, I read it can be lethal!
your in trouble.... thanks a lot jerk, that helps

call the hosptial!!!!!!!!
When you go to grad school and get prescribed Ativan because you can't sleep and you're stressed, Ativan is the worst possible answer because you won't be able to remember what you studied and you'll get booted out of grad school.
The answer depends on the manufacturer. There isn't a pill that is 2.5 mg there are bars that are 1mg and 2mg. Pills start out .25mg, .5mg to 1mg.
Alcohol intensifies the effect of benzodiazepines (such as Ativan, Xanax & Klonopin). This can lead to oversedation, incoordination, slurring of speech, and increased risk of falls and accidents.
