It's a dose that is mostly used to start. 10mg is available to use but each doc to his own. PAxil can also start at 10mg to investigate the tolerance level and increased if no change after a few weeks. It is a rule of thumb not to add more then 40mg. 50mg in extreme cases but not recommend. It also depends on what you are being medicated for, there are a few uses for this drug.
My aunt who has alzheimers just started taking depakote. She already was on Paxil. Dr decreased the dose of paxil from 30mg to 20mg. She takes both paxil and the depakote in the evening.
80 mg of methadone is the average nationally..... its not a high dose and its not a low dose its the ....... average dose. im on 55 and i am feeling great.
If you take 8 20mg at once will u overdose.
As far as i know 5mg is a pretty low dose, most people like myself start on 10mg and then increase to 20mg after a short while (10 days for me). As to whether its addictive, i havent heard anything along these lines...hope this helps a little
Yes, but you'd only be getting half of the dose.
Please call your veterinarian. The normal dose for an adult person is 10mg, so 20mg is a lot for such a small animal.
If the doctor said so.
The highest usual dose for lexapro is 20mg. So 30 will not help you. Sometimes a higher dose is used for OCD, but it probably won't help. Switch down to 20!
Yes, it can be crushed and ingested. I do this to decrease my dose. Now, another question is: Does it affect the efficacy of Paxil? I don't know. I ran into the problem of splitting, then quartering my Paxil. I wanted to split it further, and crushing it was the only immediately obvious solution.
This should really be up to your doctor. If you've given it 2-3 months, I would think upping the dose would help you. I upped my dose at about 3 months, from 10mg to 20mg and eventually to 30mg, where I gained alot of weight. It helped me tremendously upping the dose, though.
Only if you are courting death.
yes its too much.....regular dose is between 5-10 mg
