well my resting heart rate is about 48, but i am 20. i would say that 47 isn't bad as long as you are exercising regularly to keep it that low. if you are not exercising to keep it that low it might be a little low.

54 beats a minute in a very active and physically fit 47 year old male. However, there are numerous cardiac rhythm related problems that could begin popping up around this age. If the low heart rate is NOT in conjunction with a healthy, physically fit lifestyle, especially if it is new our accompanied by symptoms (dizziness, shortness of breath, sweating, anxiety, or pain), it should be brought to the attention of a cardiologist as soon as it is possible!

resting heart rate is how many times your heart beats, at complete rest.... like when you wake up in the morning... it should be around 70.. anything over 89 is unhealthy... lance Armstrong's resting HR is around 35 i believe... If your testing it correctly and still have one of 120 i suggest you take on some gradual exercise.. and work your way up.. resting heart rate is how many times your heart beats, at complete rest.... like when you wake up in the morning... it should be around 70.. anything over 89 is unhealthy... lance Armstrong's resting HR is around 35 i believe...
