The answer to your question is no. Your heart should beat from at least 70 to 100 maybe.
Actually a normal resting heartrate for an adult male is anywhere between 60-100 beats and depending on fitness lower than 50.
Im guessing that you are talking about your resting heart rate. If so then 76 beats a minute is in the normal range, but on the higher end. Idealy you want to be in the middle 50's to middle 60's, but everyone is different. Cut down your salt intake, which is the sodium count in most products, and try to excercise at least a couple times a week, even if that means just going for a long brisk walk. If your a smoker and a drinker, than these may also higher your heart rate. Hope this helped. Good Luck.
That is rather low for any person, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing it can mean that you are simply athletic and your heart does not need to work as hard to pump blood throughout your body.
My doctor would always congratulate me on my similarly slightly low pulse rate. I do exercise and keep reasonably fit. Eventually however I found out that my thyroid gland was under active which also explained why I tended to feel the cold, was tired in the mornings, put on weight easily etc. Once I was getting the best treatment for my thyroid everything felt so much better. See www.stopthethyroidmadness.com and see if you have other hypo thyroid symptoms.
If the male is fairly fit, this is pretty normal resting heart rate. its a slight sinis bradycardia, but if your fairly fit its a good rhr

resting heart rate is how many times your heart beats, at complete rest.... like when you wake up in the morning... it should be around 70.. anything over 89 is unhealthy... lance Armstrong's resting HR is around 35 i believe... If your testing it correctly and still have one of 120 i suggest you take on some gradual exercise.. and work your way up.. resting heart rate is how many times your heart beats, at complete rest.... like when you wake up in the morning... it should be around 70.. anything over 89 is unhealthy... lance Armstrong's resting HR is around 35 i believe...
