Is 6ft high to jump on a horse?

: This is my full clydesdale's first year of jumping, and right now we are jumping at 2'6, but he's actually probably clearing the jump at 3'6. Some times a horse can jump 8 feet, it is said a world record horse jump is that height. But, a lot of horses that try to jump that height end up falling on the other side and getting seriously injured. Unfortunately, most of these injuries are fatal because when a horse breaks a bone, its weight is constantly on it. The bone needs to have as little pressure, so most people have the horse euthanized or put down. If i were you, i wouldn't attempt this unless i have a very skilled horse just like the one who set that record.

Yes, that would be a very high jump that only the most athletic horses working with the best riders would be able to attempt.
