No! Dilaudid is a very strong drug.... 80 mg in one day would kill a horse. Even 8 mg in a 24 hour period is a very high dose (if we are talking IV form). Pill form is less strong and can be taken in a higher mg dose, but nothing CLOSE to 80 mg. An average dose in pill form would be 2-4 mg every 4-6 hours. Anything more than this should not be taken unless the person has a very high tolerance to narcotics.
What did the doctor say. Call and check with your doctor or your pharmacist to find out the correct way to take your medication.
How long does it take Dilaudid to get into the blood stream.
80mg
Methadone is a synthetic opiate however it is also an opaite blocker. If you take methaone before taking dilaudid the methadone will "block" the dilaudid. Some people have to take more dilaudid to break-through the methadone block.
Yes
Yes you can but the methadone will block the Dilaudid.

No, you do not need to take Advil with a high-powered pain killer like Dilaudid. Never take more than one pain killer without a doctor's advice.
You can take up to 12 aspirin in a 24 hour period.
210 The real answer according to Mass Pain Clinic is 7.5mg Dilaudid = 30mg Morphine per Mass.HospitalPain Clinic That is an ORAL dose... it changes if it is admistered IV to: 1.5mg Dilaudid IV = 10mg Morphine IV
