I have been reading a lot about the 2000 Toyota Avalon it has the same engine as the 2001,2002,and 2003. And I have read that do not use anything under 87 octane but maximum engine performance 91 or higher that is midgrade
i own a 95 Avalon and i am a mechanic i have found that u should run 92 periodically but run the 87 or 89 in between
My 2000 uses 87/unleaded in the manual
regular(87 octane)
Try 87 Octane if engien does not "ping" excessively you should be OK If engine "pings" try 89 Octane
No less than 87 octane.
Regular 87 octane is fine.
Regular 87 octane
For gasoline- engine models destined for use on the North American continent, 87 Octane.
all Camrys 4 or 6 cyl use regular 87 octane gas.
I have a V6 2003 ,the dealer recomend regular(87 octane).
65% of 87 and 35% 93 to make 89 octane gas
