A ten year age gap is great, it is acceptable. Never allow someone to put you down saying "it is not", because a real relationship does not rely on a number i.e. your age. But it is only up to you whether you feel it is good and that your relationship with your partner is good. A girl grows more mature faster than men so having this age gap does balance itself out and makes sense.

A ten year age gap can have its advantages in many ways; You can give him/her advice on things he/she may be going through that you have experienced for example.

Also if your partner, for example, just turned eighteen and is ready to step in to the big world and wants to pass his/her driving test, you would be twenty-eight. He/She will turn to you for some help and you will be able to give it, being experienced in the situation.

A bigger-than-average age gap actually statistically shows that the relationship works out better than that of the average age gaps. (The average age gaps being 1-4)

Yes, and no. Dating a woman older then you presents many different challenges. If the woman you are interested in is okay with the age difference, then you have jumped a huge hurdle. A woman dating a younger man usually has her reasons, if it's not love at first site you may want to ask her why she prefers younger men. You should be wary of her motives as is is not typical for a woman to date 5+ years her junior. Also protect your heart and keep your own life, women older then you have the power to make younger men fall hard. On the other hand this may be a great experience for you, older woman CAN be very sensual, experienced, wise and fun. That depends on how old you actually are. A relationship between a 10-year-old and a 19-year-old would certainly cause problems while a 26-year-old and a 35-year-old are perfectly fine together.

it depends.... if the relationship is between a 10 and a 18 year old than no.... but if it is 18 and a 25 year old then it is a different matter

Well, it depends on your age. if you are over 25 and have a mate 8 years older than you, that seems fine. Its not cool to be like 16 with a boyfriend of like 24 years of age.
