8psi is not a good unit to measure boost, on a grand scheme of things. You need to see the CFM, meaning, how much actual air is getting induced into the engine. Example. Small turbo at 15psi Big turbo at 10psi. Because the big turbo will put more overall air into the engine.
For sake of answering your question, 8psi, on a small turbo, with good fuel management, is somewhat safe. (too many variables to say for sure though) engine type, turbo size, fuel management, etc.
between 7-8psi.
8psi
3.8 inch pulley at 7-8psi
Around 450-500 flywheel horsepower is safe on stock internals. Anything above 500hp is really pushing it. Don't forget that designing an efficient turbo setup and properly tuning your ECU is critical to the longevity of the engine.
As much as the waste gate is set at, size of the turbo, size and a/r of the turbine housing. "How much you can run" depends on... the strength of the engine(forged internals?) compression ratio if iron or alum. head head gasket material/ head bolts or studs Intercooled/alcohol injected the octance fuel you are running If it is a normally aspirated 3.8L, 7-8psi is the general safe boost level for stock engine.
Yes. . . You will, However, Have to do an extensive amount of modifications to fit it. You will also shuck your engine if you try to push higher than stock (8psi) amounts of boost.
Only about 7 or 8psi safely on a stock motor anymore than that your asking for another motor. Experienced this with 12psi was fun lol and I was impressed with how much it held up to.
my stock as a rock evo vi runs 19psi constant, no problems, but get it tuned professionally
with stock internals run 15psi. i would not go over 18
Most street kits come with everything you need, If you are staying in the 6-8psi area. Depending on the car in question, most parts/modifications needed have to do with the fuel systems(map sensor/ injectiors and/or a fuel pump). Most new stock car internals can handle 6-10psi. Compression ratio and fuel octane rating to prevent detonation are the factors controlling if you can run 6 or 10psi.
They gun has low quality internals. So no, go for another aeg
