Both will kill you easily ;)

But medium/high voltage, high current DC is generally considered 'more dangerous' as it tends to make people clamp onto the cable rather than being thrown away from it, so fault current is suffered for longer as a result.

Hope this helps.

Paul.

ANSWER : NOT TRUE VOLTAGE DOES NOT KILL current however will even a 'D' cell can kill you [able to deliver 2 amps] Now which is more dangerous DC for sure it is continuous AC WILL PASS TROUGH ZERO AT TIMES ENOUGH MAYBE TO DISCONNECT

This depends on a great many factors. High power is more dangerous than low power, regardless of whether it is AC or DC.

A smaller amount of 60Hz AC current traveling through your body will cause more harm than an equivalent DC current. As frequency is increased, DC becomes more harmful (up to several tens of kHz, anyway).

AC current is easier to break, due to the "zero crossing" (when current is equal to zero). It also is more likely to blow you off the conductor than DC current, which tends to cause you to grab on tightly.

High frequency AC can cause burns, even when you are beyond the point where arcing to your body could occur (such as cell phone antennas - you don't want to spend too much time directly in front of them - they will litterally slow cook you!).

There are many many more comparisons that can be made, but the point is it depends on the situation. You could say AC is more dangerous to the person hurt by AC, and DC is more dangerous to the person hurt by DC. High power, regardless of AC or DC, is dangerous in and of itself.

There are two methods of powering equipment with mains power supplies. One is to take the AC mains voltage directly into the device at 110 or 230 volts. The other is to convert the mains voltage to a low voltage DC level, typically 5 to 30 volts using a mains adaptor. In this situation, the DC voltage is safer because the typical voltages are too low to be hazardous.

For a given voltage above 50 volts or so, AC is generally considered to be safer than DC. Inadvertent contact with an DC voltage can cause muscles to spasm, making it hard or impossible to move away from the contact. AC, on the other hand, is continually passing a zero voltage point, so allowing a short time to move away from the contact point.

Although it is rare in a domestic situation to find high DC voltages, they can be present in some equipment. A high powered audio amplifier can have voltages as high as 120 volts DC. The voltage presents no hazard unless access is gained to the inside of equipment. Inadvertent contact with 120 V DC causes more pain compared to a similar AC voltage simply because the contact will tend to be longer. Make no mistake, coming into contact with either is an unpleasant experience at best.

There is no need to worry about high voltages as long as cables and equipment are kept in good condition. It is important to make sure that equipment enclosures are not damaged and that the insulation of cables are not frayed or worn.

Alternating current ac is dangerous compared to direct current dc, because ac flow changes polarity as it flows through the conductor but dc does not changes it flow on one direction. Meaning that dc will not harm you as much as ac can electrocute you.

Why ac current is more dangerous than dc?

no actually dc current is more dangerous than ac because dc is a direct current and has no current zero condition ,which is very dangerous and do not leave us if we get shock while ac current leave us when we get shock

What is the difference between ac and dc grounding?

The difference AC and DC grounding is that AC is alternate current and DC is direct current. Grounding for both AC and DC is the same.

What are the two kinds electricity?

Perhaps you are referring to DC and AC? DC is direct current - current flows in a single direction. In AC (alternating current), the current regularly changes its direction.Perhaps you are referring to DC and AC? DC is direct current - current flows in a single direction.
